Home My Public Portal About87-171 (12-04-87)RESOLUTION NO. 87/ 1171 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY , OF LYNIV00D, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON NOVEMBERi3, 1987, DECLARING THE RESULT r THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED ' BY LAW WHEREAS, a General Municpal Election was held and conducted ,in the City of Lynwood, California, on Tuesday, November 3, 1987, as required by law; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 87 -99 adopted June 16, 1987, the election was consolidated with the General Municipal - Election and the Registrar canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council, said results are received, attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A and WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law; and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Election Code of the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows SECTION 1, That there were 12 voting precincts established for the purpose of holding said election consisting of the regular election precincts in said City as established for the holding of state and county elections. SECTION 2. That said General Municipal Election was held for the purpose of electing the following officers of said Citv as required by laws relating to cities in the State of California; to wit: Two (2) Members of the City Council of said City for a one (1) term of four (4) years; A City Clerk of said City for a one (1)term of four (4) years; ,.A City Treasurer of said City for a one (1) term of four (4) years. SECTION 3. That the whole number of votes cast in said City was 2624: That the names of persons voted for at said election for Members of the City Council are as follows Albert Montoya Penalber Kent Swift Zelma Owens Patricia Carr Louis J. Heine Alfreddie Johnson Robert Henning That the names of the persons voted for at said election for City Clerk are as follows: Andrea L.
