Re: Concession Permit Application
Shana,
The McCall Parks and Recreation Committee met on December 18, 2013. On the agenda was your application for a concession permit for boat launching and retrieval at the City of McCall
boat ramp. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board voted unanimously to deny the application. I concur with their recommendation. The reason stated for the denial is the current level
of congestion at the boat ramp is high and that allowing additional commercial use will hinder the public use of the facility. I cannot see any way to mitigate the impact your proposed
operation will have on the use of the boat ramp area.
If you would like to continue pursuing your application you can contact the City Manager Gene Drabinski. He can be contacted at McCall City Hall, 634-7142.
I would suggest contacting Ponderosa State Park about the possibility of a concession at their facility. The park manager is Richard Taplin, 634-2164.
