A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING AN INCREASE IN
THE TREE TRIMMING CONTRACT WITH CALIFORNIA
WESTERN ARBORISTS
WHEREAS, on May 17, 1988, the City Council awarded the
Four Year Tree Trimming contract to California Western Arborist
based on their low bid of $408,897.00.
WHEREAS, California Western Arborist has completed
trimming Area 3 in FY 1987 -88, and is presently trimming area 4,
being 65% completed, and
WHEREAS, due to raising operational costs the contractor has
requested a fee increase of $16,710 for FY 1988 -89, and
WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed the requested increase, and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby finds, determines, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the fee to trim Area 4, be increased by
$ 16,710 ( 27.5 %,) in order to offset inflatonar
y presures to the
contractor.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of
May 1989.
