A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF WATER AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE WELL REPAIR AND
TELEMETRY MODIFICATION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood will not use 500 acre feet of
water of its allowed pumping allotment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood can lease out the unused water
at $90.00 per acre -feet, thereby being compensated $45,000; and
WHEREAS, the $45,000 can be used to finance the Well Repair
and Telemetry Modification Project; and
WHEREAS, the Well Repair and Telemetry Modification Project
can be more economically effected if done through an informal bid; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2 -62(c) of the Lynwood Municipal Code,
Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the City Council authorize the Water
Division staff to lease out 500 acre -feet of water at $90.00 an
acre -foot: 250 acre -feet to the City of Cerritos, and 250 acre -feet
to the City of Santa Fe Springs.
Section 2 . That the Director of Public Works /City Engineer
or his designee is authorized to make the following fund appropriations:

Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
