A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE ABANDONMENT
OF IDLE PIPELINES

WHEREAS, pursuant to Franchise Ordinance No. 1189,
Mobil Oil Corporation's West Coast Lines Department maintain
pipelines in and along public streets within the City of Lynwood;
and
WHEREAS, 16,051 feet of 4 -inch (G -50) pipeline and
7, 550 feet of 6 -inch (M -8) pipeline have been inactive for a number
of years; and
WHEREAS, on May 12 „ 1989, Mobil Oil Corporation
requested the City's permission to abandon in place the
aforementioned idle pipelines; and
WHEREAS, prior to abandonment, it will be ascertained
that lines are cut, cleaned and capped.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The City Council hereby approve the
request from Mobil Oil Corporation to abandon aforementioned
pipelines in place in the City of Lynwood.
Section 2 . This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
