Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that compliance with the State of California Domestic
Water Quality and Monitoring Regulations can be more efficiently
and economically effected by contract with the Central Basin
Municipal Water District which is thoroughly familiar with such
regulations.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to comply with the
' recently revised California Domestic Water Quality and Monitoring
Regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to comply with the
new maximum contaminant levels as mandated by the California
Department of Health Services; and
WHEREAS, the new regulations significantly increase the
complexity and tighten the regulations governing sampling and
compliance; and
WHEREAS, the Central Basin Municipal Water District
will provide the City of Lynwood with a fully administered water
quality monitoring program that will insure sampling quality
control and compliance with all California State Water Quality
Regulations for $5,337.00 for fiscal year 1989 -1990.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:

Section 2. The City Council hereby grants the Public
Works Director the authority to enter into a contractual
agreement for the purpose of administering a comprehensive water
quality testing program.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect in
fiscal year 1989 -1990.
