A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A CONSULTANT CHANGE ORDER
FOR THE ATLANTIC AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
(FROM BEECHWOOD AVENUE TO NORTH•CITY LIMITS) 5 -5103
WHEREAS, City Council selected Don Greek and Associates on
' November 1, 1988 to design the Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction
Project; and
WHEREAS, engineering analysis has revealed that the
existing drainage problem at the intersection of Imperial Highway
and Atlantic Avenue would be eliminated by installation of a catch
basin and storm drain system; and
WHEREAS, the installation of's "Right Turn Only" lane
at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Imperial Highway will
improve the traffic flow; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best interest of
the City shall be served by the implementing the said improvements;
and
WHEREAS, the consultant needs to perform additional work
for designing the additional improvements; and
WHEREAS, a consultant contract change order is required in
the amount of $6,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
' Section -1: That'the'Cty Council authorize staff to issue
a change order for $6,000 to Don Greek and Associates for the design
of a catch basin, storm drain, and a right turn lane at Atlantic
Avenue and Imperial Highway.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED THIS 20th day of
June , 1989.
