A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD TO APPROVE CONTRACT
AGREEMENT FOR PUBLIC SERVICES TO BE
PROVIDED BY AFRO - ACADEMIC CULTURAL,
' TECHNOLOGICOL AND SCIENTIFIC OLYMPICS
(ACT /SO)
WHEREAS, on May 15, 1989, Council approved the City's
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for the 1989-
90 Program year; and
WHEREAS, said application included funding for public
service activities to be provided by the agency indicated above;
and
WHEREAS, a contract agreement for these activities has been
prepared in accordance with Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) and City guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the term of said agreement is July 1, 1989 through
June 30, 1990.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Approve contract agreement for public service
1 activities in the following amount:
ACT /SO - $5,000
SECTION 2. Authorize the Mayor to execute said contract
upon approval by the City Attorney.
