A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A TRAINEE
POSITIOIN WITHIN THE BUILDING AND
SAFETY DIVISION

WHEREAS, it is the City Council's policy to provide
training opportunities in the field of municipal government
services to Lynwood residents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Trainee Program
to further the implementation of said policy; and
WHEREAS, since October 31, 1988, Mr. Sterling Smith, a
Lynwood resident undergoing vocational rehabilitation, has
been receiving on- the -job training in the Building and Safety
Division; and
WHEREAS, is the City Council's desire to formalize Mr.
Smith's status by offering him the opportunity to participate
in the City- sponsored Trainee Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1 . The position of General Trainee within the
Building and Safety Division is hereby approved.

SECTION 2 . The resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adooption.
