A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND THE
HOURLY SALARY SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE THE POSITIONS OF
GENERAL TRAINEE AND YOUTH TRAINEE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
identified a need to establish a General Trainee and Youth
' Trainee Position; and
WHEREAS, the position of General Trainee and Youth
Trainee is needed to implement the program; and
WHEREAS, the required analysis has been completed
and the classification statements prepared on that basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. Amend the Employee Classification and Position
Plan to include the classification of General Trainee and Youth
Trainee.
\ Section 2. Amend the hourly salary scehdule to include
the title of General Trainee and Youth Trainee as follows:

General Trainee $7.50 per hour $8.00 per hour
Youth Trainee $4.25 per hour $4.75 per hour
Section 3. An individual trainee would be allowed to
' participate in the training program with the City of Lynwood one
time for a maximum period of eighteen (18) months.
Section 4. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this day 20th day of
June 1989.

GENERAL TRAINEE
Definition
Under the supervision of the Department Manager or designee of
the department assigned, to assist in a variety of duties as
identified, and to do related work as required.
Examples of Duties
In a training, learning and assisting capacity, each trainee will
be given a specific job assignment and duties by the department
that they are assigned with the assistance of the Human Resources
Department.
Special Requirement
Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Desirable Qualifications
Read and write at a minimum level unless otherwise specified by
the department seeking a trainee position.
Training To Be Provided
Will be identified by the Department assigned, the Human
Resources Department and the trainee.
YOUTH TRAINEE
Definition
Under the supervision of the Department Manager or designee of
the department assigned, to assist in a variety of duties as
identified, and to do related work as required:

California Driver's License, and be eligible for a work permit.
