District staff and PDC will be facilitating these workshops, which will focus on sharing the results of the District's Vision Plan efforts so far, fostering discussion amongst the participants, and receiving additional public feedback on the Vision Plan Desired Outcomes and Priority Actions through the use of a keypad voting system to help define and prioritize potential open space projects. Following an introduction to the District and the purpose of the workshop, the attendees will receive keypads that will be used throughout the evening for real-time rating. Staff will present the Desired Outcomes to the workshop attendees(which are now called"Goals")and the participants will be asked to rate the Goals in terms of their importance to them. Results will be instantaneously available for the participants to review. Following this exercise, the workshop will then shift to the Priority Actions for each of the two sub- regions being covered by that meeting. First, staff will briefly present each Priority Action in the specified sub-region of the District. The attendees will be asked to make note of their preliminary rating of each Priority Action. The attendees will then form small groups to deliberate on the Priority Actions, participating in discussions with each other to help refine their understanding and think about the benefits and tradeoffs of possible actions. During these discussions, Staff will be circulating through the room to answer questions. Following these discussions, participants will then be asked to use their keypads to rate each of the Priority Actions, resulting in a real-time feedback on all of the Priority Actions that can be seen by all attendees. After completing the same exercise for the second subregion, the meeting will conclude and participants will be asked to evaluate the workshop.
