A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO OBTAIN INFORMAL
CERTAIN PROJECTS LISTED IN THE FY 1989 -90 BUDGET
' WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expedite the
improvement of City facilities in a proper and efficient manner;
and
WHEREAS, the Sidewalk Reconstruction, Atlantic Avenue
Reconstruction, City Hall Expansion, Imperial Highway Wall and
Bateman Hall Decorative Pools are listed in the Capital Improvement
Project schedule for the FY 1989 -90 budget; and
WHEREAS, portions of the above mentioned projects can be
completed more expeditiously and efficiently if done through an
informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2 -62(c) of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize implementation of projects through
informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
WHEREAS, additional staff /consultant services are needed
for the implementation of the above mentioned projects.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby finds and
determines that portions of the above mentioned projects can be
' completed more expeditiously and efficiently through informal bids.
Section 2: Public Works Department is authorized to seek
temporary help not to exceed $115,000.00.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
