A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT

The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89 -163 public hearing was
called for October 3, 1989, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, Lynwood, California to
ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety, or
welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and
associated overhead structures, and the underground installation
of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication or
similar associated service, within that certain area of the City
described as follows:
The full road easement on Bullis Road from the south
property line of the Imperial Highway to the north
property line of the National Guard Armory.
WHEREAS, notice of such hearing has been posted and
advertised within the time required by law; and
WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held,
and all persons interested have been given an opportunity to be
heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
1. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 848 of the City of Lynwood,
the above- described area is hereby declared an underground utility
district, and is designated as Underground Utility District No. 8 of
the City of Lynwood. Attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and hereby
incorporated as a part of this resolution is a map and legal
description delineating the boundaries of said District.
2. The Council does hereby order the removal of all poles,
overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground
installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric,
communication, or similar or associated service within Underground
utility District No. 8 on or before July 1, 1992, date of completion
may be extended by written agreement of both parties.
3. 'The City Council hereby finds and determines that the
Underground Utility District herein created is in the general pubic
interest for the following reason:
The streets, road or right -of -way in the district
are extensively used by the general public and carry
' a heavy volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of October
1989.
