A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF FIVE
THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($5,800.00)
TO DEFRAY EXPENSES ENCUMBERED DURING THE
INTERNATIONAL UNITY FESTIVAL THEREFORE
' WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a community of diverse ethnic
and cultural backgrounds; and
WHEREAS, the City was desirous of bringing all people together;
and
WHEREAS, in an effort to bring this desire to fruition the City
Council approved the International Unity Festival and appropriated three
thousand dollars ($3,000.00); and
WHEREAS, staff made every effort to provide the most attractive
and high quality program possible; and
WHEREAS, the event was held between August 31 - September 4, 1989
in Lynwood City Park; and
WHEREAS, over five thousand (5,000) citizens of Lynwood attended
and enjoyed the event; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that City Council of the City of
Lynwood hereby resolve as follows:
