A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT FOR
PUBLIC PURPOSES A PORTION OF McMILLAN STREET, AT
THE EASTERLY TERMINUS, JUST WEST OF THE I -710 FREEWAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did on the 15th day
of August, 1989, adopt Resolution No. 89 -152, declaring its intention to vacate
that portion of McMillan Street, just west of the I -710 Freeway, as hereinafter
described; and
' WHEREAS, notices of said vacation were published and posted in the
time, form and manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the matter was held on the 17th day of
October, 1989, as prescribed by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
Section 1: That the following described street easement is
unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and that the public interest,
necessity, and convenience require, and the City Council of said City hereby
declares its order to vacate and abandon said street easement, as per attached
map and following description:
Beginning at the most southwesterly corner of Lot 25,
Block D of said Tract No. 11342; thence S 83 degrees 43 minutes
27 seconds E 64.02 feet; thence S 42 degrees 37 minutes 28 seconds
W 37.25 feet; thence S 42 degrees 28 minutes 45 seconds W 47.82 feet
to a point on a curve concave southwesterly having a radius of 42
feet; thence northwesterly along said curve through a central angle of
102 degrees 39 minutes 50 seconds a distance of 75.26 feet; thence N 6
degrees 16 minutes 30 seconds E 4.45 feet to the point of beginning.
' Section 2: That an easement be reserved for the Southern California
Gas Company, a corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the
laws of the State of California, their successors and assigns, a right -of -way to
lay, construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and repair, change the
size of and remove one or more pipelines, with metering, measuring,regulating,
products and other substances with the right of ingress and egress to and from
the same, over, under and along said above described property.
Section 3 : That the City Clerk of the City shall cause a certified
copy of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County.
