A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER
A NUISANCE IS BEING MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY.
' WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Lynwood has
recommended that this City Council find that certain premises
within the City of Lynwood may be maintained in such a way as to
constitute a nuisance; and
WHEREAS, certain procedures are set forth in Chapter 21
of the City Code of the City of Lynwood, pursuant to which nui-
sance may be abated;
WHEREAS, the conditions of said property which may
constitute a nuisance are:
1. Junk trash and debris.
2. Overgrown vegetation througout site.
3. Broken windows and unsecured doors constitute
hazardous conditions and inviting trespassers.
4. Site consist of three units currently being used
' by transients. Neighbors complain about illegal
activities being conducted at night which has led
to several robberies in the area.
5. Sheriff's Department has received several com-
plaints from the neighbors regarding this site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. Based upon the aforesaid recommendation
of the City Manager, this Council hereby finds and determines
that the following described property may be presently be
maintained in such manner as to constitute a nuisance. Such
property is described as Lot 008 of Tract 6173 Page 010 generally
known as 3566 Sanborn Avenue, City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The method(s) by which said conditions
could be abated include:
' 1. Remove junk, trash and debris.
2. Remove excessively overgrown vegetation.
3. Temporarily board up buildings and structures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THIS COUNCIL therefore
declares its intention to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to
Chapter 21 of the City Code of Lynwood to ascertain whether the
above described conditions constitute a public nuisance, the
abatement of which is appropriate under public power of the City
of Lynwood, and,
THE CITY COUNCIL hereby fixes the hours of 7:30 p.m.,
December 5, 1989, as the time and the City Council Chambers,
11330 Bullis Road, as the place for said public hearing; and the
City Clerk is authorized and directed to serve and post certi-
fied copies of the resolution in the manner set forth in Section
21 -38 of the Lynwood City Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
of Lynwood held on the 7th day of
