A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND STAFF TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE LYNWOOD JOURNAL (RAPID PUBLISHING) FOR
CERTAIN PUBLISHING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Council of Lynwood has expressed a
desire to expand its current agreement with the Lynwood Journal
(Rapid Publishing) for the quarterly publishing of the Challenge
Tabloid; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the Lynwood
Journal is one of the regularly circulated papers for the City of
Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of efficiently
and effectively communicating with the City of Lynwood's
residents relative to noticing of special issues affecting the
Community, promoting special projects and programs and in
general, keeping the residents of Lynwood informed;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Council of the City
of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council authorize the Mayor and staff
to expand the agreement with the Lynwood Journal to provide for
the additional publishing services for the quarterly publishing
of the Challenge Tabloid (quarterly issues to be published in
June and April, 1990).
Section 2. That the City'Manager or his designee is authorized
' to appropriate the sum of $12,930 and to incorporate said request
in the Proposed FY 1989/90 Budget.
