A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO CONDUCT AN INFORMAL
BIDDING FOR THE FIRE STATION REPAIRS PROJECT AND
APPROPRIATING $47,000 FOR THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
desires to maintain the fire stations in good operation
condition; and
WHEREAS, a list of recommendations was generated by a
committee consisting of Councilmembers and staff; and
WHEREAS, due to the nature of the project, staff feels
that the project can be completed more expeditiously by allowing
in- formal bid process; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2 -62(c) of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize implementation of projects through
informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood does find, proclaim, and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the Fire Station repairs project can be completed
more expeditiously and effectively through informal bid process.
Section 2 . The City Council authorizes City manager
t or his designee to make the necessary appropriation and budget
amendments:

Section 3 . This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon adoption.
