JUNE 6, 2013
Mayor Reiman said we were set to fix it after threatening to take
it to court and we had the bids set up and they just showed up
and fixed it. He said part of the issue is we are partnering with
Middlesex County to probably file suite against the Turnpike
Authority in state court so their improvements at the time that
they made them meet federal code in ADA , except access
building, no longer meet the codes so we and the county are not
taking over any responsibility until they fix what they need to fix.
Councilmember DiMascio said he thinks the speed bumps are
getting out of hand in our town commenting there are two (2) on
Wedgewood Drive where there are fourteen (14) or fifteen (15)
houses and there is one (1) on Daniel Street and commented no
one cuts through Daniel Street to get out or come into town.
and at the same time some people will call and complain
so it is a mixed bag.
Councilmember DiMascio asked if we could have the corners
painted yellow because it is very dangerous in the intersections
and referred to the corner of Washington Avenue by the Day
Care.
Mayor Reiman said they are painted yellow there.
Councilmember DiMascio said but they are always parked there.
Mayor Reiman said we have just added some SLEO I AND SLEO II
who will be focusing on traffic enforcement. He also told
Councilmember DiMascio to talk to Mr. Riley about getting them
painted and to make sure John DuPont is aware of it. He
commented it is twenty -five (25) feet for an intersection.
Mayor Reiman said this evening there is another meeting coming
up of which there seems to be some residents here. It is for a
