A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO COMPLETE
THE RECONSTRUCTION OF PORTIONS OF DAMAGED
PAVEMENT ON THE WEST SIDE OF LONG BEACH
BOULEVARD BETWEEN TWEEDY BOULEVARD AND >
MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD, THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, the Southern California Gas Company is in the
process of replacing concrete pavement along the west side of
Long Beach Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, portions of the aged concrete pavement along
the west side of Long Beach Boulevard are deteriorated /damaged
and are in need of reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the cost of replacing the damaged pavement has
been estimated at $13,000.00; and
WHEREAS, by coordinating the required pavement recon-
struction with that being completed by the Gas Company, the City
can ensure the expeditious and efficient reconstruction of the
said improvements; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2 -62(c) of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize implementation of projects, through
informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of
the City of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve
as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to
complete the required work for replacing damaged pavement along
the west side of Long Beach Boulevard between Tweedy Boulevard
and Martin Luther King Boulevard through an informal bid
process.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
March , 1990.
