RESOLUTION NO. 90 -42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD IN SUPPORT OF A COMPRE-
HENSIVE NATIONAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM FOR
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Affiliated Committee on Aging
strongly supports the concept of a National Health Care System
for America; and
WHEREAS, nearly forty million Americans have little or no health
care protection against a serious illness; and
WHEREAS, a realistic, comprehensive National Health Care system
designed and planned to control costs, provide quality care and
prevent over use and abuse would benefit every American, prevent
much pain and suffering, remove health care coverage from the
employee - employer negotiating table and save more taxpayer's
money than any health plans being considered at this time,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Gardena Valley Affiliated
Committee on Aging Forum take the following action.
1. Join the state of California and the National Coalitions
for the purpose of rendering full support to the National
Health Care Campaign.
2. Call rallies, hold hearings, consult with our Representatives
and U.S. Senators, work closely with state legislators, and
city councils in order to get their support for a National
Health Care Plan.
