A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF FOUR
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($4,000.00) TO INCREASE THE
NUMBER OF AFTERSCHOOL PLAYGROUND SITES
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Recreation and Parks Department
currently operates an Afterschool Playground Program at four (4)
schools between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, these playground sites have reached over twenty
thousand (20,000) children since they opened in January 1988; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of reaching more children to
prevent them from falling prey to gang and latch -key circumstances;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that City Council of the City
of Lynwood hereby resolve the following:
Section 1 . That the City Manager or his designee is authorized
to make the following additional appropriation:
