A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO VAL VERDE CONSTRUCTION,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,861.00 FOR THE CHECK AVENUE
WATERLINE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT (5 -5101)

WHEREAS, the Check Avenue Waterline Construction
Project is scheduled for construction during fiscal year 1990 -91,
and is funded by California Department of Transportation for
$80,000.00, through the I -105 Freeway Construction Project; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 10, 1991
with Val Verde Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder at $33,861.00; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the
Contractor has the necessary experience in pipeline construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Contract for the Check Avenue Waterline Co
Project (5 -5101) be awarded to IPS, Services, Inc.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute the contract agreement.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16tl day of April ,
1991.
