A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE MEASURE TO ESCALATE THE MONTHLY RENTAL RATE
ON ALL CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, the City Council is aware of the amount of real
estate holdings it possesses; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has lease agreements on some of
the properties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to increase the flow of
income for the Agency and sees the increase in rents as a
preliminary method to augment the flow of income; and
WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges that the current
rental rates on City -owned property is below prevailing market
rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council directs the Director of
Community Development to pursue and establish rent increases to
coincide with the current market rates.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood
Directs the Director of Community Development to draft new
leases.
Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood
directs the Mayor or his designee to execute the new leases.
Section 4. This resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its adoption.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City of Lynwood City Council
this 7th. day of May, 1991.
