Elkins Construction—Noah Davis, Andy Hardaken Approval of 3-27-2014 Minutes —Unanimous Old Business: 1. Update on Public Safety Building: A. Cabling and Video Cabling for building — Todd Smith Todd Smith—When will you be ready to have cable lines run? Noah Davis —July 1, 2014 I will coordinate with you Todd Smith — There may be wireless run for the Court Room and Squad Room. B. 911Equipment • AT&T quotes for new 911 equipment—Major Moseley Major Moseley— The only quote received has been sent to the City manager. • GMA Financing for equipment—Angela Hudson Angela Hudson— GMA financing is cheaper, presented finance rate for 3 and 5 years Diane Schleicher— There are two options either finance for 3 years or 5 years. Bill Garbett—Motion to finance for 3 years Monty Parks — Second Wanda Doyle — Yes — Unanimous to present to City Council Greenline—Please put design of building sign back up Diane Schleicher— Does well system for GEO Thermal work here? Noah Davis — We looked at both well and looped systems Greenline — Both systems are expensive and it would be a long payback time. C. Walkthrough of building site: • Building Pad—Elkins • Drainage site Elkins D. Removal of garbage in drainage site: Noah Davis —We will dig out the debris to the recommend depth and can use some of the fill as a retaining wall; most of the debris will be hauled off site. The City can pay directly to the sub-contractor for removal, disposal and for delivering new fill dirt. The cheapest bid is between $36,000.00 and $46,000.00. A firm number cannot be given because we are not sure what is under the ground until it is dug up. Wanda Doyle —We have the money in contingencies fund so I would recommend we have a special council meeting on Monday April 28th for further discussion and approval. All in agreement (JB4-24-2014)
