A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A
CHANGE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 TO COMPLETE
1 THE WELL NO.8 REHABILITATION PROJECT (5- 5128).
WHEREAS, Well No. 8 Rehabilitation Project is included
in the Capital Improvement Project list for fiscal year 1990-
1991, and is funded under the Water Fund for $120,000.00; and
WHEREAS, on April 16, 1991, the City Council Awarded
this project to General Pump Co., Inc. for a contract of
$27,668.00; and
WHEREAS, the inspection of the disassemble
column /shaft /the revealed extensive damages to the well
components due to prolonged wear, corrosion and oxidation; and
WHEREAS, a change order in the amount of $30,00.00 is
required to repair and replace the damaged components and to
complete the Well No. 8 Rehabilitation Project; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to provide the necessary
pumping capacity to efficiently, and effectively operated the
City's water system.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find and proclaim, order and resolves as follows:
Section 1 . That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute a Change Order in the amount of $30,000.00 to complete
the project.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon it's adoption.
