A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO
PREPARE THE FIVE YEAR SPEED ZONE STUDY
WHEREAS, California law requires that speed limits if
they are to be enforced by the use of radar, must be reviewed
every five years; and
WHEREAS, The speed limit must be set on the basis of a
traffic and engineering survey; and
WHEREAS, County of Los Angeles Department of Public
Works can provide the required traffic surveys and studies to
update the City's Speed Zone ordinance for a fee of $ 6,167.00;
and
WHEREAS, the required work can be provided by the
County of Los Angeles, Department of Public Works under existing
General Services Agreement between the City and the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve
