A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD TO APPROVE A CONTRACT AGREEMENT FOR CITY PROSECUTOR
SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, City Prosecutor are currently being provided by the
legal firm of Dapeer & Rosenblit in support of the City's Code
Enforcement Program; and
WHEREAS, the contract for the fiscal year 1990 -91 between
the City of Lynwood and Dapeer & Rosenblit expired on June 30,
1991; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to provide continued City
Prosecutor services for ongoing Code Enforcement activities and
cases; and
WHEREAS, last fiscal year Dapeer & Rosenblit has competently
performed the City Prosecutor services in support of the Code
Enforcement Program successfully eliminating a backlog of one
hundred twenty -three cases from a previous contractor; and
WHEREAS, the City's Code Enforcement Program has greatly
benefited from the level of performance of Dapeer & Rosenblit who
remains accessible and willing to work for and comply with the
City's request within legal boundaries; and
WHEREAS, Dapeer & Rosenblit and the City of Lynwood desire
to enter into a contract agreement for Dapeer & Rosenblit to
provide City Prosecutor services for the fiscal year 1991 -91,
effective July 1, 1991 through June 30, 1992 at an hourly rate of
$80.00 approximately 12 hours per week.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Approve and adopt the attached Contract
Agreement with Dapeer & Rosenblit to provide City Prosecutor
services in support of the City's Code Enforcement Program for
fiscal year 1991 -92 for a contract amount not to exceed $51,000.
SECTION 2. Authorize the Mayor to execute the attached
Contract Agreement.
