A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT TO THE FOUR
YEAR TREE TRIMMING CONTRACT SPECIFYING THE TREE
TRIMMING MONTHS AND APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER FOR
$32,280.00 FOR LIGHT TREE TRIMMING WORK
WHEREAS, on May 17,1988, the City Council awarded the
Four Year Tree Trimming Contract FY 87 -91 to California Western
Arborist for $408,897.00; and
WHEREAS, on March 5, 1991, the City Council approved
the renewal of this contract to cover four year tree trimming
service for FY 91 -92 through FY 94 -95 for $628,435.00; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 1991 the City Council directed the
contractor to perform light tree trimming in the summer, and full
trimming in the winter; and
WHEREAS, California Western Arborist has performed full
trimming in Zones A, B and C of Area 3 (FY 91 -92), and light
trimming in Zones D and E of Area 3 (FY 91 -92); and
WHEREAS, the extra cost for light trimming in Zones D and
E, Area 3, is $32,280.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the City Manager is authorized to
' execute a change order in the amount of $32,280.00 for the extra
light trimming work done in Zones D and E of Area 3, and make the
necessary fund transfers and appropriations.
Section 2 . That the contract agreement be amended to
require that all tree trimming work, only take place between the
months of September and February.
Section 3 . That the Mayor is authorized to execute the
contract amendment.
Section 4 . This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
