A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD TO APPROVE AND EXECUTE
A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR THE CITY'S RENTAL
REHABILITATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City has applied for Rental Rehabilitation
Program funds with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban De-
velopment (HUD);
WHEREAS, HUD requires that a Memorandum of
Understanding exist between the City of Lynwood and the dousing
Authority of Los Angeles County to administer any Section 8
Program funds allocated in support of the Rental Rehabilitation
funds received;
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of Los Angeles County is
willing to continue cooperating with the City of Lynwood by
entering into a Memorandum of understanding for admini:,:traLioil uI'
any Section 8 Program funding allocated in support of the Rental
Rehabilitation funds received by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Approve and adopt the execution of the
attached Memorandum of Understanding with the Housing Authority
of Los Angeles County;
SECTION 2. Authorize the Mayor to execute the attached
MOU with the Housing Authority of Los Angeles County;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
