PUBLIC NOTICE
ORDINANCE #311 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE
REGARDING DEVELOPMENT IN THE URBAN
COMMERCIAL, URBAN COMMERCIAL-1,
UPTOWN HAMEL AND RESIDENTIAL P.U.D.
DISTRICT IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN;
ESTABLISHING AND EXTENDING A
MORATORIUM; AND DIRECTING A STUDY OF
OFFICIAL CONTROLS RELATED THERETO
The City Council of the City of Medina has adopted
Ordinance No. 311. The ordinance is an interim ordinance
which establishes a moratorium on development within
the areas of the community guided as urban commercial,
urban commercial-1, uptown Hamel and residential
planned unit development 1 & 2 in the City's new com-
prehensive plan. This ordinance also establishes a mora-
torium on residentially guided property within 1,000 feet
of the property guided urban commercial and urban com-
mercial 1 in the City's new comprehensive plan. The
interim ordinance will allow the City an opportunity to
review its official controls, including its zoning ordinance
and subdivision regulations, and make amendments nec-
essary for consistency with the cty's new comprehensive
plan. The moratorium will be in effect for one year. The
ordinance also extends the moratorium previously
adopted regarding the Elwell property. The full text of
Ordinance No. 311 is available at Medina city hall during
regular business hours.
