DISTRICT IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; ESTABLISHING AND EXTENDING A MORATORIUM; AND DIRECTING A STUDY OF OFFICIAL CONTROLS RELATED THERETO The City Council of the City of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 311. The ordinance is an interim ordinance which establishes a moratorium on development within the areas of the community guided as urban commercial, urban commercial-1, uptown Hamel and residential planned unit development 1 & 2 in the City's new com- prehensive plan. This ordinance also establishes a mora- torium on residentially guided property within 1,000 feet of the property guided urban commercial and urban com- mercial 1 in the City's new comprehensive plan. The interim ordinance will allow the City an opportunity to review its official controls, including its zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations, and make amendments nec- essary for consistency with the cty's new comprehensive plan. The moratorium will be in effect for one year. The ordinance also extends the moratorium previously adopted regarding the Elwell property.
