A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO
PHASE THE ATLANTIC AVENUE MEDIAN ISLANDS
PROJECT USING DIFFERENT FUNDING SOURCES
AND BIDDING PROCEDURES. PROJECT 5 -5137
WHEREAS, this project is listed in the FY 1991 -92
CIP Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to complete the
FY 1991 -92 CIP Program in a timely and efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, this project
Section 108, $135,000 of Traffic
funds; and
is funded with $359,000 of
Safety and $21,000 of LRA
WHEREAS, Section 108 funds mandates formal bidding
procedures for all work using these funds; and
WHEREAS, the project can be completed more
expeditiously and efficiently by phasing the project with
different funding sources; and
WHEREAS, under Section
Code, City Council can authorize
informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
acquisition of services through
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the City Council authorize staff to
phase the Atlantic Avenue Median Islands Project as follows:
Phase I : To construct median islands from South
City limits to Carlin Avenue using Traffic
Safety and LRA funds. This phase shall be
expeditiously and effectively done through
informal bidding.
Phase II : To construct median islands from
Carlin Avenue to Martin Luther King Boulevard
using Section 108 funds. This phase shall be
implemented through formal bidding.
Section 2 . This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
August , 1991.
