As far as availability, both sites are a wash. Purchase cost for Industrial Park site is $123,000.00. Infrastructure issues - City Hall site has a large storm sewer that needs to be relocated. Industrial Park site has no infrastructure issues for a police station, but could have issues if the fire station was to be located there. Multi -use - the City Hall site not large enough to add fire station later; Industrial Park site is better suited for multi -use. Communication - City Hall is closer to Courthouse. Proximity to schools - Industrial Park site is closer to local schools - City Hall is closer to DePauw. Proximity to crime area - City Hall is closer to crime area. Potential TIF funding - Industrial Site Expendability - Industrial Park site. Implementation - Industrial Park site would have to be rezoned. Alternative uses - City Hall site could be used for neighborhood park. The stand alone building would consist of 4,800 square feet, while the addition to City Hall would ® have approximately 5,662 square feet with 3,700 square feet being new building. The add on to City Hall would not allow city offices to expand at all.
