ORDINANCE NO. 19-2005
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
WALLACE CRIPPLED CHILDREN’S FUND
WHEREAS, The Wallace Crippled Children’s Fund has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that will be used to install handicap accessible playground equipment
and falling surface at Springwood Lake Park; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Wallace Crippled Children’s Fund.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($50,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall be appropriated to install handicap accessible playground equipment and falling surface at Springwood
Lake Park.
Passed and adopted this 21st__ day of March_______ 2005, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
