CLOSED SESSION MINUTES
HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
AUGUST 27, 1997
9:00 AM, Hillsborough Police Department Training Room
The Hillsborough Town Board met in Closed Session on August 27, 1997 at 9:00 AM in
the Hillsborough Police Department Training Room for the purpose of discussing a personnel
issue. Present for the Closed Session were Mayor Horace Johnson, Commissioners Remus
Smith, Richard Simpson, Catherine Martin, Kenneth Chavious, and Evelyn Lloyd. Staff present
was Interim Town Manager Sherry Carter.
Mayor Horace Johnson called the meeting to order at 9: lOAM.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Simpson, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the Board
moved to go into Closed Session for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter.
Mr. Roger Scott, Vice President of Municipal Advisors, Inc., presented information on
six (6) finalists selected for the Town Manager executive search.
By Consensus, the Board agreed to review the information presented and meet again in
Closed Session to discuss their findings on Thursday, September 4th, at 9:00 AM in the Police
Department Training Room.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Simpson, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the Board
moved to return to Open Session.
