A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING CONTRACT AMENDMENTS FOR THE
LONG BEACH BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (5 -5084)
WHEREAS, Lea Associates was contracted by the City to
prepare right -of -way appraisals for the Long Beach Boulevard
Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the property appraisal for phase IIA, from
Lynwood Road to Agnes Street, were complete; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of right -of -way for this phase
has resulted in the condemnation of certain parcels, and cases
involving five (5) of these parcels are ready to be tried; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Superior Court requires
a new appraisal report be prepared for each parcel; and
WHEREAS, the preparation of these reports is not
included in the original contract with Lea Associates; and
WHEREAS, a contract amendment is necessary in the
amount of $15,000.00 for Lea Associates to prepare these
additional appraisal reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Lynwood is interested in
proceeding with this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council authorize staff to
issue a contract amendment for $15,000.00 to Lea Associates to
prepare the additional appraisal reports.
Section 2: This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of
September , 1991.
