A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING SIDEWALK REPAIRS TO AN
ADDITIONAL 24 LOCATIONS BY ANCON MARIN INC, THE
LOWEST BIDDER FOR THE SIDEWALK RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT 5 -5125
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1992, per Resolution No. 92 -26,
the City Council awarded the Sidewalk Reconstruction Project
contract to Ancon Marine Inc., based on its low bid of
$70,317.50; and
WHEREAS, there are 3,400 additional locations
throughout the City that are in need of sidewalk repairs; and
WHEREAS, the proposed work will be for $27,000 and
sidewalks at 24 additional locations will be repaired; and
WHEREAS, money is set aside each year to complete
repairs of sidewalks damaged as a part of routine maintenace of
water lines, sewer lines, traffic signals, and street lights, in
the various Public Works accounts; and
WHEREAS, the current contract with Ancon Marine, Inc.
offers very competetive unit prices for the repairs of sidewalk;
and
WHEREAS, the additional sidewalk repairs can be
completed through a contract change order with Ancon Marine, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council approve the sidewalk
repairs at 24 additional locations as part of the Sidewalk
Reconstruction Project, 5 -5125, and authorize the City Manager to
approve a change order for the additional work.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
