A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO ATKINSON
GRADING & EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$ 17,216.00 FOR ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT
REPAIRS AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the permanent patching of asphalt concrete
pavement at various locations throughout the city is required to
ensure safe vehicular traffic operation; and
WHEREAS, required funds to complete the job are available in
the various Public Works accounts; and
WHEREAS, the asphalt concrete pavement repairs job was
advertised on April 1, 1992, and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 16, 1992, and
Atkinson Grading & Equipment, was the lowest responsible bidder;
and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the contractor
has the necessary experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the asphalt concrete
pavement repairs be awarded to Atkinson Grading & Equipment of
Huntington Beach for its low bid of $ 17,216.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Atkinson Grading
Inc.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of
May 1992.
