A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO DAMON
CONSTRUCTION COMPANZ IN THE AMOUNT OF
$ 14,840.00 FOR CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIRS AND
TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the patching of the concrete pavement along the
east side of Long Beach Boulevard from Martin Luther King Jr.
Boulevard to Michigan Avenue is required to ensure safe vehicular
traffic operation; and
WHEREAS, required funds to complete the job are available in
the various Public Works accounts; and
WHEREAS, the concrete pavement repairs job was advertised on
April 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 23, 1992, and
Damon Construction Company, was the lowest responsible bidder;
and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the contractor
has the necessary experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the concrete pavement
repairs be awarded to Damon Construction Company, of Carson, CA,
for its low bid of $ 14,840.00.
' Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Damon Construction
Company.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of
May '1992.
