A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
IPS SERVICES INCORPORATED IN THE AMOUNT OF
$ 27,350.00 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF RAISED
PAVEMENT MARKERS AND THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT
MARKINGS AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the installation of raised pavement markers and
thermoplastic markings is required to ensure efficient and safe
operation of the City's vehicular and pedestrian traffic; and
WHEREAS, required funds to complete the job are available in
the various Public Works accounts; and
WHEREAS, the installation of raised pavement markers and
thermoplastic pavement markings- job was advertised on
April 1 1992; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 16, 1992, and
IPS Services Inc., was the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the contractor
has the necessary experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the installation of the
raised pavement markings and thermoplastic pavement markings, be
awarded to IPS Services Incorporated, of San Bernardino, CA, for
its low bid of $ 27,350.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the agreement between the City of Lynwood and IPS Services Inc.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its adoption.
