A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
MIRAMONTES CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$ 24,160.00 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WATER
SERVICES ON LOUISE AVENUE AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, to maintain an efficient water distribution system,
the installation of new service lines on Louise Avenue between
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Beechwood Avenue is
necessary; and
WHEREAS, required funds to complete the job are available in
the Water Division accounts; and
WHEREAS, the installation of water services on Louise Avenue
was advertised on April 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 16, 1992, and
Miramontes Construction, was the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the contractor
has the necessary experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the installation of water
services on Louise Avenue be awarded to Miramontes Construction
Company, of City of Industry, CA for its low bid of $ 24,160.00.
' Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Miramontes
Construction Company.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of
May , 1992.
