Dear Mr. Hinson:
After weeks of having difficulty in receiving enough interest from candidates to establish the seven member Local Option Tax committee, eight applications were finally received for consideration
by the McCall City Council at their February 24th meeting. The Council had a difficult decision in determining which of the seven candidates to appoint to the committee, and finally
came to the decision that the appointments would be made based upon the date that the letter of interest was received. Unfortunately, your letter of interest was the last one received
by the City. The entire Council expressed their regret in not being able to appoint you to the committee and wanted you to know that your willingness to volunteer for the position
was truly appreciated.
On behalf of the City of McCall, I present my sincere appreciation in your interest and willingness to serve on the Local Option Tax Committee and hope you will not hesitate to attend
future committee meetings to share your thoughts. Please consider submitting your name again in the future when a vacancy occurs for positions that may be of interest to you.
