A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO SCHLUMBERGER
INDUSTRIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 37,545.90 FOR THE
REPLACEMENT OF 570 EXISTING BROKEN OR DAMAGED WATER
METERS.
WHEREAS, to maintain an efficient water distribution system,
the installation of 570 3/4 inch water meters citywide is
' necessary; and
WHEREAS, required funds to complete the job are available in
the Water Division accounts; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 16, 1992, and
Schlumberger Industries was the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the contractor
has the necessary experience; and
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the installation of 570
3/4 inch water meters be awarded to Schlumberger Industries of
Santa Fe Springs, Ca. for its low bid of $ 37, 545.90.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Schlumberger
Industries.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of
June 1992.
