A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DESIGNATING
THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, AND /OR THE
ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST II TO SERVE AS AGENTS FOR THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD IN APPLYING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF COSTS INCURRED DURING
CIVIL UNREST
Whereas, on April 29, 1992 civil unrest erupted in the City
of Los Angeles as a result of the aquittal of four Los Angeles
Police Officers; and
Whereas, the unrest spread to the City of Lynwood on Thursday,
April 30 causing substantial property damage in addition to a
number of emergency responses by Fire and Sheriff Departments and
repairs by the Public Works Department; and
Whereas, the Governor declared a State of Emergency allowing
local agencies to request Federal State disaster assistance to
reimburse the City for costs incurred during civil unrest; and
Whereas, the City is required to complete and submit OES Form
130 titled, "Designation of Applicants Agent Resolution ".
Now, Therefore, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, ^roclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That Faustin Gonzales, Interim City Manager,
Alfretta F. Earnest, Director of Finance, and /or Rolando Cua,
Administrative Analyst II is authorized to serve as Agents for the
City of Lynwood in Applying for Federal /State Financial Assistance.
Section 2. That this resolution
immediately upon it's adoption.
