A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
A -Z BUS LINES IN THE AMOUNT OF $106,324.02
FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) PARATRANSIT VANS
' WHEREAS, the City Council solicited proposals for the
purchase of two (2) paratransit vans; and
WHEREAS, four (4) proposals were received by the City
on or before July 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, A -Z Bus Lines proposed to furnish two (2)
paratransit vans for $70,882.68; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of vehicles are included in the
City's budget and funded through Prop. A; and
WHEREAS, based on the competitive price proposed
by A -Z Bus Lines, and considering the need to replace the three
Dial -A -Ride vans in the City's fleet, a third van can be
purchased for $35,441.34, making the total amount of the
contract to $106,324.02.
WHEREAS, the third paratransit van can be purchased
using available Prop A funds set aside for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Dial -A -Ride Vans by A -Z Bus Lines
meet all required specifications and City's needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That a contract for the purchase of three
Collins Civitran paratransit vans be awarded to A -Z Bus Lines of
Colton, California, for $106,324.02.
Section 2 . This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of
August , 1992.
