HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
CLOSED SESSION
SEPTEMBER 11, 1997
9:00 AM, Police Training Room
The Hillsborough Town Board met in closed session on September 11, 1997 at
9:00 AM in the Police Training Room. Present for the Board Meeting were Mayor
Horace Johnson, Commissioners Kenneth Chavious, Evelyn Lloyd, Catherine Martin,
Richard Simpson, and Remus Smith. Staff present was Interim Town Manager Sherry
Carter.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Simpson, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the
Board moved into closed session for the purpose of discussing a personnel issue by a vote
of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
The Board conducted an interview with Town Manager candidate J. Richard
Howell, Jr. from Boiling Springs, North Carolina
Upon a motion by Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the
Board moved out of closed session by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
