COMMISSIONER & STAFF ORALS
Mr Lopez informed the Board that he had spoken to ex- Commissioner Perez and
he asked him to convey to the Board members that he enjoyed every aspect of his
service. He also stated that it was a wonderful experience being part of the Board
and wished everyone good luck.
Mr Lopez then clarified the criminal history check letter that was mailed out to all
the commissioners by the City Clerk's Office was incorrect. The criminal check is
only for new incoming commissioners not for commissioners who have served in
the past without a break in service. New commissioners will need to be
fingerprinted within 60 days of their first meeting. Also, for those commissioners
who were reappointed there will not be a break in service.
Commissioner Esparza stated that he is glad to be back and Chairperson Robinson
agreed.
