Home My Public Portal About022-2005 - Grant - Historic Landmarks - Historic Preservation CommitteeORDINANCE NO. 22-2005 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS FOUNDATION WHEREAS, the Historic Landmarks Foundation has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana desires to act as a “pass through” agent to obtain funds that will be used by the City of Richmond, Historic Preservation Commission to create and host a City of Richmond Historic Preservation Commission Website; and WHEREAS, a local match of Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($500.00) is required and will be paid through the collection of donations. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The Mayor of the City of Richmond is authorized to prepare and submit a grant application to the Historic Landmarks Foundation. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($2,500.00). The City of Richmond Historic Preservation Commission hereby commits to provide local funds through the collection of donations in an amount up to Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($500.00). The grant funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be provided to the City of Richmond Historic Preservation Commission to create and host a City of Richmond Historic Preservation Commission website.
