CLOSED SESSION
SEPTEMBER 12, 1997
9:00 AM, Police Training Room
The Hillsborough Town Board met in closed session on September 12, 1997 at
9:00 AM in the Police Training Room. Present for the Board Meeting were Mayor
Horace Johnson, Commissioners Kenneth Chavious, Evelyn Lloyd, Catherine Martin,
Richard Simpson, and Remus Smith. Staff present was Interim Town Manager Sherry
Carter.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the
Board moved into closed session for the purpose of discussing a personnel issue by a vote
of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
The Board conducted an interview with Town Manager candidate Anthony N.
Caudle from Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina
Upon a motion by Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner Chavious,
the Board moved out of closed session by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared
passed.
Interim Manager Carter reminded the Board of the check passing ceremony and
tour of Occoneechee Mountain Park on Saturday September 13 beginning at 9:00 AM.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by Commissioner Smith, the
Board moved to come out of Stage 3 mandatory water restrictions by a vote of 5-0. The
motion was declared passed.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd, the Board
continued its meeting until Monday, September 15, 1997 at 7:00 PM in the Police
Training Room by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed.
