AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana desires to act as a “pass through” agent to obtain funds that will be used by the City of Richmond, Historic Preservation Commission to perform
repair work on the Dickinson Log Cabin located at the Wayne County Historic Museum; and
WHEREAS, Any required local match will be paid by the Wayne County Historic Museum
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The Mayor of the City of Richmond is authorized to prepare and submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Twenty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($20,000.00).
Any local funds required will be paid by the Wayne County Historic Museum.
The grant funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be provided to the City of Richmond Historic Preservation Commission to perform repair work on the Dickinson Log Cabin located
at the Wayne County Historic Museum.
Passed and adopted this 4th__ day of April _______ 2005, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
